Hello all!
Its been an exciting week here at UGAME, we're really happy to have rolled out the new release with a lot of fixes and a few more major organisational updates. To celebrate this we are giving out an extra 10 INVITES to all current testers and adding in 2000 new members from the FNATIC DB.
We're going to be moving onto some new larger features in around 1 week and untill we have our polls module up and running, I wanted to hear from all of you about what you would like to see on here!
- For us we see VIDEO as the next big thing, what do you think?
- Also on our agenda is actual GAMES pages so you can talk about games
- Events pages, similar thing to games pages
- Guilds, which will be similar to current teams
- Tagging in photos and profile photos gallery
- News aggregator (ala DIGG for gaming news)

Maybe a calendar like google calendar to planning our lans and events would be great :P

That would be a nice feature! We thought about something like that, but in our opinion we should first implement Events pages, so we can build the calendar around that and maybe team matches / guild raids

allow users to be +'d and -'d ratings to gain popularity ranks and each month give away a mr. popular tshirt and badge that they can wear to lan events :p
or better still, allow this site to function correctly with playstation 3 browser :) so many more users, including myself when im geeking it up in bed on mgs4 online!

the ps3 it uses an old version of flash which is a pain because i cant view most things, places like youtube which run on flash 5 work as intended, but broadcasting teams like quadv i feel, are really missing out on advertising their "product" to the console market (aswell as the fact it also does not work)... you could be a first if you can find a way round it ^^

actually, the thing i would like most right now, aside from ugame to work in ps3 browser, and some kind of fun betting/odds system... is to be able to edit posts on these pages AND be able to view all old wallposts.

i cant actually see any flash on the site... so now i have no clue, my bad!

i dont actually think the site uses any flash cause i can view it just fine with my iphone. should all be AJAX basically :)

Its alot of ajax. We do use flash however for the uploading of files. Avatars, profile pictures, galleries, blog images etc.

I Agree with #1 + #3. Also i think that maybe a global chat room would be a good idea. It would be good because it would be quicker than e-mail-ing and also it will give you the chance to meet more gamers and people etc.

or a fun betting thing where you put match of the week, users place their bets and round scores etc, winners get so many points then at the end of 1 month gets a prize :D

I'm actually having issues with the list of tournaments, according ot the fact you guys are doing lot of work and being quite busy it should be nice to be able to:
1- suggest you a tournament trough the tournament suggestion form
2- Personn who submited the tournament can directly use it for his own profile/team
3- You admins can then either: accept the suggestion and allow evryone to use it, or in the case it would be any crap spam shit, simply delete it.
Something else i just noticed while writing this comment is the lack of 'preview' button which would be super usefull for the blogs/comments if you were using some kind of ajax quick preview below or above the textarea.
Guess that's all for now, might edit/re-comment if something else popup. good job anyways, thanks for the invites !

Personally I'd like to see a place where possibly teams that don't have a great deal that could sell their brand a bit more. Maybe like a small shop that ugaming would run that a team could have lets say shirts made up for their guys.
Anyway, thats just my idea. ^^

I want to see what other people who have the same MAIN game as me use for their gaming, so i can find out what the BEST mouse is for quake, css or cnc. and i want to read reviews of hardware and peripherals from actual gamers not sellers pretending to be :)

Would be nice to see a list of the latest team news from all teams on ugame somewhere, with some filters options like from which games you would like to see team news and stuff. Forgive me if this is already located somewhere :P

RSS feeds, so people can use their rss to read the latest on ugame, a good idea also could be to import some kind of game launcher. You add your games to the list and if you want to play just click in the list to start up the game. (maybe serverinfo about the server the designated player is on so you can join your friends etc or spec w.e.) would be fun to see played hours what they play most etc, ( somewhat like xfirefunctions but without the chat :) )
i was also thinking about some laddersystem for maybe in the future ugame.net sponsored tournaments? ( if there'll be any (A) ) sign up for the comp, get through the "playoffs" compete in the tourney, some nice brackets during the tourney, news on it etc. Would be really cool.

To be the honnest the best feature would be a list of events, so everyone can check when the next events are and stuff, discussing Hotel's that are good near the location.
Another feature would maybe have a section, for the latest scene news where everyone can check the latest news, and discuss it.

Website like Myspace or the Dutch version Hyves.nl have a messagebox as main subject on their profile pages. And i believe that this keeps the website active and is the formula of their succes. Maybe uGame should also focuss more on this, what now is a page with information about the person should become a "chatbox" where everyone can leave eachother easy and fast messages.
With a email notification you can get these people aware of a new message wich means you get an active community..

Yeah you are right, i kinda looked over that.. But it's still fairly invisable with this location on the page.. Should be higher and immidiatly in your sight when you open the page, so above the "My Friends" Section imo...

I would love some sort of event management module. Being able to house the administration (simple sign up and notifications) of a LAN event would be great!
Also - some sort of "Beta" notification or page, or feed, etc. I'm a beta freak and love to check and follow beta announcements, invites, news, etc. To be able to follow it from 1 mashup or something would be nice.

More mods/admins. I often request games for my "my games" list and it takes long till I grt an answer. What about a Wiki for each game, a blog for all user (not important to me) and an option where you can see, who the same games play as me.

If noone has said it yet; a video section. I know we have galleries, but like a video section would be nice that users can upload videos of whatever (have different categories etc) as well as a replay/demo section where you can do the same thing. Sort the demos/replays by game/playstyle.

We decided against that since its kind of harsh to a person who views your profile to expose them, and we want to encourage people to look around. We will be adding a count of how many times people have visited so it could be in the last day 10 people have come to your profile etc.
